Sun Collision was first introduced to St. Catharines in 1979 by Sam DeMita.  As owner and president, he had a vision to provide an outstanding collision service and to share his passion of cars with others in the community.  Sam has a reputation for being a “perfectionist” and someone who always finishes what he starts – no matter how difficult.  He has been driven by his obsession with Fiats, Formula 1 racing and Vespas.  The newly constructed collectible showroom has been referred by many of his friends and colleagues as the “Car Museum”.

Sam DeMita’s only son Anthony joined the team as a very young adult.  He started out by cleaning vehicles and sweeping floors.  Anthony is now the Company’s Operations Manager and Vice President.  After completion of many business courses from Niagara College, Anthony furthered his education by attending PPG and Certified First Management Programs.  He is actively involved in the St. Catharines Business Club and the St. Catharines/Thorold Chamber of Commerce.  Anthony also attends many insurance seminars and meetings to keep on track of the many updates that occur in the Auto Collision and Insurance Industry.  He is most commonly known for his ability to help make a customer’s unfortunate incident as painless as possible by his respect and knowledge of the insurance industry and taking care of his customer’s needs.  Anthony is setting a wonderful example for his children Ashley and Sammy who are also involved in the family business!
